The motel Itself mixes Greek aesthetics with modern furnishings - mixing the old with the new, offering visitors a unique stay that is unlike the drab brick and concrete clones that are typical of the city. Features of our rooms include a flat-screen TV with satellite channels (including sports and movies), free Wi-Fi, kitchen with light cooking facilities, microwave, and fridge, and a balcony or patio that stretch out into the courtyard.

A two-minute walk to the beautiful Kohimarama beach, which features a selection of cafés and restaurants and if you stray further along to Mission Bay, you will find a bevy of eateries and bars as well as a movie theatre and boutique businesses.

"Had three nights here after picking up my old Dad from a long-haul flight home after many years away. I wanted to welcome him to NZ with some true Kiwi-style hospitality, and Aarangi Motel was perfect. The room was an upstairs one, spacious, clean, comfortable with a lovely balcony and heaps of light and sun. It was super-hot in Auckland (Dad had come from -12degrees!) and still, and we walked along the beach, ate at the many local cafes, and just relaxed. It was lovely! Aarangi Motel has obviously been there a while I think and is kind of old-fashioned and "once-was-chic" - but it is presented so well, and the gardens and buildings are tidy and clean and cared for so its age is just part of its charm! The Motel management are great too! Will definitely be back!"

The whole Kohi area is fabulous. Restaurants down the street amazing especially The Store. We felt like we were back in Europe. Embrace and enjoy people!"
